Challenge: Art of 2011 (Advanced Editing VII*)
Collection: Challenges 2012
Camera: Canon EOS-7D
Location: Redondo Beach Pier
Date: Nov 27, 2011
Aperture: 8.0
ISO: 100
Shutter: 2
Date Uploaded: Mar 11, 2012

A section of the bike path at Redondo Beach Pier where you have to dismount and walk your bikes (due to huge amounts of pedestrian traffic). Panned a bit on this and I like how you can clearly (more or less) see her face several times.

[Mar. 16th, 2012 10:41:37 PM]

By the way, I have yet to truly understand how I managed to get several distinct glimpses her face in particular. Was it because I was panning? No flash was used.

the colors are terrific... but so is the blur. A ride we didn't want to miss.

I think it's the colors that really make it extra special, Deb.

I get the lovely sense that the bicycle has a mind of its own and the walker is just barely keeping up.

Was pretty sure this was yours. Loved it! Blur is always a hard sell to the collective. Glad to see you went with one you loved. (So did I.)

I was your one 10 and I can't believe how underappreciated this is!
I gave it an 8 on first go around but then kept coming back to admire it again and again, unlike any of the other images in this challenge, and bumped my score.
Wonderful job

The colors and smooth lines...The shot is very visually appealing to me. I like it! Wouldn't change a thing of the shot itself. I'm not one to put too much emphasis on titles but the title here perhaps doesn't add much and breaks the fluidity of the viewers thought if they read it before taking the shot in. Give them some mystery here ;) since it's not guess the object, we do cleary see it's a bike. I understand sometimes people also want a deeper meaning attached to a visual but trying too hard also comes across so untitled works too at times. Whisked Away comes to mind here. A fluid title to match this fluid shot. Cheers! (just commenting, no vote)

Love the colors and the motion blur. Not so crazy about the white, letterbox frame. It distracts me and draws my eye out of the frame.
