Challenge: Fairy Tales (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Canon EOS-D60
Location: My home, Williston, VT
Date: Aug 24, 2004
Aperture: 16
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1.6 w. bounce flash
Galleries: Humorous
Date Uploaded: Aug 26, 2004

The gilded egg was placed on a mirror touching the full-screen computer image of the goose. This allowed cloning to remove the mirror edge and the reflection of the egg (approved by the site council), so that the egg would appear to sit in the grass. Bounce flash illuminated the egg without causing reflections. Post-processing was limted to cloning, blurring and brightness curve.

The idea is good here but the photo is too blury. Also if the tail wasn't cropped off it would be a better composition. Keep practicing :)

LOL...great concept..lost a bit of detail in the goose and it seems slightly blurry..especially at the eye where it is most crucial...the golden egg does not appear tack sharp either so asks the question which one is the focus? But shows creativity...nicely done.

Looks a bit out of focus. I think you should sharpen this to improve it.

Not sure if the egg looks fake as it has been over processed, or if it looks fake as, well, it is fake and added in after the event. It just doesn't look like it belongs, sorry. I think it might be the focus on it is too crisp compared to the rest of the photo.

A good idea. I think a little softer lighting would have helped a lot. You might also want to try desaturating the greens in photoshop so that the goose and the egg get more of the attention instead of the grass.
