 Loved this image but at the time there was no challenge topic it would have worked for. So I thought I'd see what the art minded folks would think of it for this challenge.

Had there been a Puzzle Macro challenge at the time it would have worked well for it. No one seems to know what this is so here's the explanation.

I took a CD and beat the hell out of it with a hammer then scratched it and cut it with scissors. I put a couple of drops of grenadine on it to create the red spots. With the circular polarizer on it alters the colors that come back from the reflective surface of the CD. Because I didn't want a big white hole at the top I slid a blue gel sample there.

Interesting abstract, nice colors and highlights. Very modern, almost like the paintings with colors thrown at the canvas without the splatter.

Nice piece, well photographed, interesting colors and pattern but, I think I'm just a little over saturated with liquids shots from DPC for this to get my highest scoring...certainly not my lowest either :)
