I like to think that at night when no-one is around they perform an elegant dance, swirling their skirts as they pass each other, finally sinking back into the asphalt for another day's rest.
A lovely OOB image for the challenge topic and so well seen. Glad to have this one come to my attention a few years on! |

| You know what is the strangest for me? It is a pretty picture. And then I started to wonder. Do designers of manholes consider how it would look in it's working environment? Add a ring of knobbles, or move the cutouts off-center? This should be used as motivational poster at the Institute for Manhole Design. Thanks. |
