 The flooded church of St. Nicholas in Lake Mavrovo, Macedonia.

The submerged foundations of this church screamed with symbolism... I remember taking this picture having this particular crop in mind.

But, how do I convey the symbolism I see and make this more than it looks? I chose harsh textures, darkened to make the interaction between the cross placemark, the window and entrance more prominent. The coloring seemed to add to what I was trying to do.

I remember staring at this one for a bit. I should have commented. What I was fascinated by was the cross. It's like this little surprise that comes out of no where. It's a beautiful capture.

Beautiful detail. Love the color conversion. The different lines, shapes, details... it all makes this photo even more interesting. The water also adds that certain something. Great shot!
