Great use of framing. I would have turned the axe around to eliminate the tag. Good job. |

This is very similar to Film composition I did some years back ....If only some way the frame would have been closed from the bottom |

Flawless. Black and white works fantastically, composition is excellent, contrast and brightness are right on; the detail level is excellent. 10 |

This would be better if we saw enough of the axe to identify it without reading the safety warning. At first glance, it looked like another tree and a large leaf. With a larger crop, you could also remove the rest of the label, which would eliminate some distraction, which right now is taking away from your subject. |

too slanted for my taste but the figure is very intriguing |

Very creative. A strong image I feel. I like the tilted perspective. An interesting background, and good expression on the face. Good choice for b/w in this case I think. One could think of several "stories" for the shot. Well done. |

I don't understand the relation between the axe and the seated man, but it's a nice photo. |

I'm very disturbed by this. In a good kind of way. |

Interesting shot. You may have benefitted from alinging your photo with the tree and the horizon and leaving the ax handle at an angle. |

I think I know who this is, but even if I am wrong, a 10 from me. Great shot and perfect B & W processing. Love the imagination, emotion and sheer force in this. |

Awesome idea, is that an axe? I really like the idea and tilt. It may be too dark (in terms of theme) for other DPCrs but I like it, my type of photo. (9)
Good luck... |

This works. Would have worked better if it was a shovel. |
