Technically, not the best shot, but I like it enough to enter it. Ideally I'd have more of the hands in focus...had the aperture set fairly shallow when I reacted to this.
Took the cub scouts camping this weekend and the boys had been doing a fair amount of fishing. One of the scouts hadn't brought his fishing pole down from camp and was milling about, hanging out with his friends. He noticed some fishing line going into the water laying there on the bank. He pulled it out, then decided he was going to fish with it; no pole, hook, float, or weight available. So, what do you do when you're a scout...whittle a hook out of wood, use a rock (hanging under their hands) as a weight, and make a float out of a piece of wood bark. I was watching with so much amusement that I nearly forgot I had a camera around my neck! :-)
...and no, he didn't catch any fish with this setup, but he sure gave it a good effort. :-D |
