Yes Marion, these guys are really shiny in the Sun. As you can see I needed to bump up the exposure to get this detail. Otherwise it would have been a silhouette of a bird.

I was torn between the two and I was told it was a Brewers Blackbird. I couldn't tell from my field guide. The little point on their bill is surely a field mark?

this looks like Common Grackle they are larger than Blackbird
