 Green-winged Teal, Anas crecca

I was very excited to see this bird (both female and male). It was a distant shot. Now, I must get a closer photo. But, this one allows ID for this side challenge.

Thanks, KarenNfld for making me aware of this species. And then, there they were. Magic of birding.

Green really does stand out - they are sitting so high in the water they almost look like their on ice.
