 Trolls are difficult to capture on camera due to their elusive behaviour. Through stelth and daring I was able to capture this Troll while he was setting up camp at dusk for the night. :-P

How did you find a troll? I thought they all disappeared because of our lack of belief. Seriously, though, this is a great shot - mysterious lighting, tangled undergrowth and the air of mystery that every good fairy tale needs.

not contrasted enough between the focus areas; also, the colors are too similar so the picture loses interest which is a pity

Very cool concept. Others seem to be knocking the use of dolls and figurines but this works. Would be a little better if the environment was darker, more of a night feeling. Perhaps depress the troll into the ground a little more so you don't see the solid part under the toes. Is that a candle or LED? Perhaps starting a small fire with some of the dead leaves would have given it some more realism. Another thought, perhaps some smoke in the background to simulate fog. I think it would add atmosphere.

Great idea. The lighting really gives the troll a realistic feel, and the POV helps me feel that I'm a traveller accidentally discovering this scene. Nice job.
