i grew up in the mountains of NC, and this shot really reminds me of home! I love the composition and the fact that you captured the shadows of the trees in the background--even though i find myself wanting to see more of them! the snow on the ground is also a nice touch. i also love the sunlight reflecting off of the water. technically, the photo seems nice, no complaints here! the only thing i might have done differently is maybe try shooting a little higher up to get more of the tree shadows to give more depth to the picture, since the end of the stream is almost hidden by the weeds on the bank. otherwise, nice shot!

| Good composition, but focus is a little soft, and photo seems over-exposed due to the bright sunlight from the left. |

| Lighten this up a little and it is a 10. I love the landscape, the composition, the subject, etc. The cropping is a little tight on the top, especially on the top right corner. Could come in just a hair on the left, if you had to, but I'd hate to see you lose than bend in the creek. Maybe zoom out just a little. These are just thoughts and suggestions to try later. For now just lightened would do it. PTL 8 |

| hard to imagine a stream as narrow as this being used as a means of travel. If i saw this photo outside of the challenge I would think, "nature", or "landscape", not "Travel". |
