7 from me. Clearly the cat is upside down and I love the way you used the DOF.

I gave it a 6, it's a good shot of a reclining cat. But you can tell from the cat's expression that it is looking at you rightside up. A cat has a remarkable ability to stay rightside up no matter what, so for me the only pose that would work in this challenge is the one with the underside of the cat's chin/neck showing as it turns its head for a look at the world upside down. It may've been an upside down shot to you, but you were there. If it doesn't feel upside down to me, I have a hard time doing the mental exercise to make it be upside down. It is a good shot, though, & deserving of a 6 no matter what challenge it's entered in. Meow!

First off, you have a very pretty cat and you did a nice job to capture the details of its face/ fur.

Now for a critique - I gave your shot a 7 for good quality photography and meeting the challenge - but I took time with each entry to figure out how the image met the criteria and was generous in voting. I think many of the voters in the challenge expected to see the cat upside down or photographed in such a way so it looked upside down. Taking an photo of an upside down subject and inverting it so it was right side up was risky for this challenge. Further, you were not aided in having 'physics' on your side, such as a pony tail hanging, or drops dropping up and such. In addition, most voters probably felt that minimal effort was needed to get the shot since it is a pet and obviously taken inside - that doesn't suggest it wasn't difficult to get - just that it was perceived to be easy to capture. Finally, shots of household pets need to be remarkable to score well, or have significant humor factor and while this was solid, it was neither humorous or amazing from a lighting etc perspective.

For me it's obvious the cat is upside down but you could also flick through the images and perceive that the cat is sat upright.
I like detail on the cats face and it is nicely lit but the shallow dof is a bit too much for me.
A good image but I think it fell into the unimaginative category (along with mine) and was probably voted lower than normal.
