Having a studio, props, models and lighting is one thing...making good use of them another and you certainly did that here, the way this is lit has made the picture for me.It would have been so easy to ruin it, but you have made a superb job with your attention to detail.

In my opinion the only reason this is not a blue ribbon is that there may not have been enough "Fairy Tale" connection for some.

Very well done.

Congratulations on your 5th placing. yes, Anastasia you are amazing. This is by far the best image of this challenge: Idea, comp and technique. This is virtually beyond reproach. I am placing you on my fav as photographer and this image is going into my collection. Congratulations again and keep at it for you will be able to get all the ribbons you want, you know, it is also a matter of timing, but stick to it, your work is just awesome.

Very nice. A Joan of Arc look to me. Boots either on the side or on the model would have completed the picture IMO. 8

returning for comments.
This is a super entry which is flawlessly executed with great model, great pose and attention to all. The only minor exception are the shape of the nails. Outside of this I venture that this image is possibly the best in this challenge.

Something that I just noticed about this... when viewed as a thumbnail it appears that you can 'see through' the chain mail. When opened, the detail of the armor takes away that view.

Just something interesting to note.

You know a good armorer ... I never made a piece of mail more than a few inches square.

I don't know the tale, but your photo tells me one, let me tell you it. :-)

First of all, I love the duality of the photo. The armour has strength and it's hard, she is the one who is ready to fight and die for her homeland. But under her heavy armour, she is a woman with full of sensuality (being nude under the armour makes me feel this). Maybe her family was killed and she is having revenge, but deep in her heart she has true love for a man. That's the story your photo tells me, and therefore I love it a much! Technical presentation is great, too, lighting, composition and B&W works well. Good luck! :-)

I'm not 100% convinced 'Lioness Rampant' was in a fairytale? However this is probably the best photograph I've seen in this challenge, the lighting is perfect and its definetely a medieval theme and with an adult twist? [8] I think I have my 3 ribbon winners now.

remove more of the armour and she could have been in the previous challenge of Nude 2 :) (however the sword between her legs woudl have been to much) :)
Nice setup. I would have made her look more fierce.

great studio shot but too artificial for me - the Arthurian legend as an attractive clean sell ?

Cool, I like the contrast and the reflections. The parallel line of sword and leg are well, but perhaps the building diagonal could be stronger? Overall well done. Good luck.
