 I waited for the tourists to leave the wreck, then waited for the clouds to come in. The light was beautiful.
Editing:
Crop, overall lighting adjustment, levels adjustment, resized, sharpened, noise reduction and finally removed minor distracting elements and dodged the vessel name.

Suits the subject.

I think, though, that you could still keep the mood and increase interest with a bit of brightness.
