Used 1 soft box on my right at about 1/4 power (AB400). My initial intention was something totally different, but became frustrated after I found out my remote battery died. I had to use the camera self-timer and manual focus. (Not fun!) Plus my camera battery died as well. I was ill prepared to get this challenge underway. Hence the facial expression. Will get a new battery tomorrow.

I most likely will take advantage of this challenge by trying some new processing techniques along with the lighting aspect of the challenge.

I like this! Good job using a poor situation in your favor.

All you need is a parrot on your shoulder.

Looks like you are pooping.

I do like this shot. We need to see one with the crazy eye!

It's the processing. I am addicted to blur! I just like to have control over it.

Remote? Whats that lol. I only ever use manual focus and a timer but have been wanting to get a remote. I found a great trick for using the focus and timer, I have an old cheap light stand and a prop plastic skull that I setup to be at my eye level in the shot then I focus on it and switch to manual and just replace myself with the prop. Oh great shot by the way, very nice processing. Only thing I would suggest is to maybe duplicate the layer and set it on multiply and use that just on the red bandanna, as is it seems just a tad to bright. Can't wait to see more of your stuff.

Yarr, +1 on the pirate challenge! Great face, nice separation from the background.

You tuck your kids in at night with that face?! ;-)

I like the processing and lighting. It's like running into you in a dark alley with a flashlight. :)
