 My wife and I went out shooting tonight. I was teaching her how to shoot and the different things since I've given her my G2. I had a really great shot of the Salt Lake temple with lights, but I didn't want two shots in there of the temple to be redundent. This was a fountain on Temple Square.

Critique Club

INITIAL RESPONSE: Nice color and exposition. A lot of details .. a little too busy.

COMPOSITION-CONTENT - The fountains and the trees/plants brings nice colors. I would have croppe on the right just before the pole and on the left just between the 2 lights on the left of the fountaint. I think this way you keep the essential and the scene looks better.

CAMERA WORK-TECHNICAL- Very Good night exposure exposure and depth of field.

MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO - I like the shot for the colors and the water ... but I think it's too busy (see comments above).

This is probably one of the prettiest photos I have seen so far! To bad the water isn't illuminated elsewhere, either way, it is a very nice photo! 8 Strong1Blind

Temple Square in SLC? Very nice. I have some from the Mesa Temple too. You can see them at www.pbase.com/rcrawford if you would like.

Very pretty. Would like to have seen a bit more, maybe moving back or less cropping could have included more of the fountain and also the top of the tree.

Nice photo, although perhaps cropped a little too tight at the bottom - some water around the base of the fountain would be good. You still get good points for the rest of the photo which is near perfect though.
