Ha! I love this idea! I wish the brush were pointed toward where he's just been painting... would make a better story, I think.
If he were shot closer to the painting, then it would be more engaging, I think... there's so much negative space that's wasted, I fear...
Also, it all seems a bit... drab... the colors need boosting... or maybe apply some Curves for POP! ?
I'm not being critical, although it sounds like it. I really like the image and the idea... or I wouldn't have spent time analyzing it for so long. :D
