 Taken on our weekend vacation to Newport, R.I. No Set up for this picture. I saw the scene developing as this young lady strolled over to the steps. One shot was all I could get as others moved into the scene. Very lucky.

I'm not sure if she's praying, but I love the isolation and how she's highlighted by the light and color.

Having subject facing the edge of the photo creates a feeling of a cramped photo to me which takes me away from the titled emotion. Think it would have been a stronger image if woman were sitting on one of the rocks with her head bowed in prayer facing the water.

Nice, though your subject gets lost in the background texture of the rocks. It might be nice to see a glimpse of her face also.
