Good timing on the shot!
I just find the bird too dark. Probably due to backlighting.
For next time, a flash or reflector, could make the difference.
By filling in the scene with light, it will balance the subject and background brightness.
Also showing that beautiful feather detail and colour.
None available in this instant? Over expose the shot. Shoot for the birds brightness level, not the background. It may create a white background, but for me his detail is what's important.

Ah, HB in shade with sunlit background. The other way around will produce better results. |

Wow, I respect you purely for attempting a shot like this! However, I feel the focus is on the feeder instead of the bird, and the feeder takes up too much of the frame. Maybe a tighter crop? There's no way I'd ever have the patience to try this. |
