 Taken with my Vivitar F2.8 55mm MF Macro lens (M42 fitment with adapter).

The sleeping white rat is a rex coated dumbo albino rat. His name is Kain and he is resting his head here on one of his cage buddies, Raziel. Both are older rats that we rescued from the adoption centre of a local pet store as the previous owners had left them in a box to die in the woods. Luckily some nice children found them and handed them into the pet store. They were both very scared when we first got them but now they are very friendly and love attention lol.

Lighting for this shot was just a simple mounted flashgun shot straight up for an even light.

Very little editing done in Corel Paintshop Pro X4: adjusted brightness/contrast in levels, adjusted over all colour balance a little, resized for challange and then sharpened with topaz sharpen.
