This is one of those photos that will likely resonate with others having similar situations to myself, and likely not so much with everyone else. My family is going through a tou time due to my mother cheating on my dad, and thus this dypitch was created to signify the fact that while she claimed to still love him, she was lying for a very long time.
I also wanted to get a flower in as I need an extra boost in morale, something that hasn't been happening with my shots as of late. I did take time to try to make this not your ordinary flower shots, as I used focus stacking on the rose, and precise macro on the thorn.
Post Processing:
* Stack 7 photos for the rose
* Rose: Crop, retouch, increase exposure, increase recovery, increase black point, increase brightness
* Rose: Increase definition, increase vibrancy, curves
* Thorn: Retouch, Crop, White Balance, Increase exposure, increase black point
* Thorn: Topaz DeNoise, Increase black point, Increase brightness, increase saturation and vibrancy, Curves, Blur some areas
* Combine the two images and add border
* Save as TIFF
* Dodge part of the rose
* Export as TIFF
* Resize
* Sharpen Edges
* Save as JPEG
