 Chevron pic: removed a few small distractions & tiny crop
Flying A pic: carved out the gas pump and superimposed it on the Chevron pic. Added a frame and blur to give visual transition information. Used Viveza 2 & Selective colors on the gas pump. Here's the EXIF data:

The pump inset image seems to have the pump "floating" to me. I think it needs a shadow to "ground" it.

Clearly an entry in which you put energy. Beautiful blue hues. Two things do not work for me: the (very large) area under the canopy which is rather dark. Ad secondly the saturation of the vintage gas pump is too much.
