Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro
Location: Boston

Aperture: f16
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/60th

Date Uploaded: Sep 3, 2004

Not traveling this week, which is a given during the tour guide challenge. Anyway, this was one of the toughest tourist attractions to shoot given the sheer size and lack of clean sight lines.

Photoshop was minimal, used a graduated blue filter during exposure.

Excellent photograph of this ship. You really get a sense of scale from this.

Beautifully exposed, good and sharp. Maybe could have been even better if you could have found a spot where you could have eliminated the waiting crowd and the buildings. Um, I apologize if that spot would have put you in the middle of the water.... :>)

I was here last year! I like the angle at which you took this photo

Nice subject, but it looks a bit too dark to me, and the horizon is also tilted a bit (the tilted buildings on the left look extremely weird ;). Perhaps lessening the contrast would improve the "dark" problem, and might also give you some detail in some of the areas that are practically all black. It might also be worth a try converting the image to greyscale and playing around with the contrast then.

Great image, considered doing a similar shot as well. The bottom of the boat is pretty close to the bottom of the photo and the masts are cut off but I'm assuming because you didn't have a wide enough angle. Sky appears a little underexposed. Colors here aren't that amazing, did you try b&w?

Very nice. Possibly a little selective sharpening on the boat could have brought out a little more detail from the ropes without looking oversharpened as a whole. Good shot!
