This looks like a miniature you see looking through a diorama. Very cool. |

Looks like a spectacular place to live, the way you processed it works a treat, very inviting. |

Lovely with the trees and the vague tower on top. Nice processing, I like the old feeling. |

Sweet. Like how you've added the vignette. Nice processing. |

Those trees look like roots, the castle seems to be deeply engrained. |

It looks very lonely. And haunted. Those bony white trees add to that feeling. The white vignette reminds me of those old BW movies, where someone looked thru a telescope. Like a pirate. |

Not sure of the trees sorry Marion and guess I should do some research since I live nearby now but do know that Dunolly is an alternative spelling. This castle was the seat of the Chiefs of the Clan MacDougall of Lorn. Calgary on the Isle of mull (where I live) was where 'your' Calgary got it's name from, Colonel James Macleod, Commissioner of the North-West Mounted Police, was a summer guest in 1876 so yes, there are many links twixt the two places. |

This intrigues me, not least because I was born in the Victorian township of Dunolly (different spelling but there will be a connection - many, many Scottish settlers here, including some of my forebears.)
What sort of trees are those? They have the look that some of our coastal bush has but I'll bet they are not related. |
