 Cycling has become a major time sink for me - I no longer get out to shoot as much as I used to or as much as I'd like. Every once in awhile I carry my little Lumix with me on a ride - this was one such time.

I absolutely love this photograph - it is by far my favorite shot of the month. It's joyous, it's fun, it's a Saturday near the ocean on a bike. Life just doesn't get much better than that.

Not unlike the performance of many of my own cycling related shots. My cycling friends think they are great and wow over them, but DPC greets them with a big fat "MEH". But then, our cycling buddies are not impressed by the ability to ride 40 miles. That's an average morning ride. Our photography friends think 40 miles is an unbelievable distance and that we are insane.

It's all relative.

I think it's a wonderful shot... the composition is fun with the circles.

Perhaps a bit of brightness would have helped? It seems a bit "dingy" on my monitor.

With the amazing blue you captured in the sky I am curious as to how this would look in b&w

This isn't a "bad" shot. It's just one that seems has more of a personal meaning to the photographer taking it, and it's a photo that has a smaller niche appeal... Just my humble opinion (from a 5.4xxx sub-ave shooter).

Wonderful double portrait from a biking lover - not me, the photog, if its how I think. (Venue and subject are telling.) It's rare to find a capture of personalities so well done. Posed but still evocative.
