The processing is not flattering and the eyes need to be tack sharp. I agree, I'd like to see the original and then see it processed differently.

The model is cute. The pose is natural and it makes you happy just to look at him. But, in terms of DPC I think this would have done better as just a straight B&W with little processing or maybe even in color.

The problem lies in the processing. Try a re-edit from the original and post it. I think it would be much better recieved.

Cute kid, you should be proud.

Great pose by the model and very good interaction between the photographer and the child. Technical problems show throughout the photo include high noise grain, lots of digital artifacting convering the photo particularly on the grey shadow line on the hairline and down the neck, somewhat blown highlights on the cheek.

I'd prefer to see some detail in the skin and especially the eyes. The odd processing on the neck, ear, and hair put me off a bit.

I'd love to see the original of this to see if it's the processing that caused you to score so low with such an adorable kid's smile going for it.

I gave it a 6 because that smile overcomes all the technical flaws: unflatteringly soft, gray tones look somewhat posterized/blotchy, crop is a bit tight for my liking. But still, I would hang it in my office if he were my kid. :)
