This is the closes I could get with my camera. I thought I had a good seat with my first NBA live experience, anyway, maybe next time I'll pay more to be closer with the action.

Greetings from the Critique Club };-)

Initial thoughts
Nice crisp shot for a live game, good color and light. Timing is great

Composition/ Content

I think you did great to get this close to a pro game. The timing of MJ's shot is really good and you captured a lot of emotion from the players standing around watching. Even the ref has his hands on his hips.

Background
If you could have had that one guy behind the ref change his yellow shirt...LOL. Good job although I will talk about cropping below.

Camera Work - Technical
I think you did a great job. Focus could have been just a bit sharper but pretty good for a hand held. I think the lighting and contrast was as good as it gets for the situation. The motion and timing was excellent.

Digital Processing - Technical
A few things here. I think it may have benefitted from cropping just a bit tighter. Maybe just above the mascot and a little behind Jordan. I also think a border may have helped as the edges are a bit busy with all that is going on. I also noticed that you are only at about 100kb when 150kb is allowed. That may have made the shot a bit sharper.

Fits The Challenge
This may be a bit of a stretch for the challenge for most folks. I won't bore you with my thoughts of the ref calling "traveling" as it has already been mentioned several times in your comments.

My Opinion On The Photo I originally scored this shot a six, higher than most. I think it was a really good shot under the circumstances but probably would have done better in a different challenge. Good job, and keep up the good work.

I would be happy to talk further about this shot if you would like to contact me.

This would have been cool if you had gotten a shot of a ref calling someone for travelling.

Wow, so many arms akimbo. Nice capture, but framing isn't enitrely effective.

At an NBA game I think you could have gotten a much better "traveling" shot :) If you know what I mean :) Nice shot!

Maybe if you got him traveling?? Kind of a stretch for the challenge for me but it still is a great shot. Good Work.
