outstanding for so many reasons. the light seems to be within it, animating the dynamics as well as the delightful colour. |

I like the open mouths on both of them and the colors are wonderful. Can't help wishing the dog's head was not cut off though I'm sure others will find that fact the charm of the photo. Voted earlier. |

This is good. I am letting go and seeing it your way, and once preconceived notions are released, its freeing, and quite wonderful. |

Great photo but going with the Cinematic bars and losing the dogs face IMHO was not helpful. still an 8 but to be honest, I think in a taller crop I would have put this as top billing |

Voted earlier coming back to comment now.
Even though the dog's head has been cropped off I find this image highly appealing...and it is because of the great expressions of both boy and dog. I see the boy's mouth as hanging down in astonishment while the dog's mouth is happily panting away with that great big tongue hanging out. The colors, composition of elements and details are just great in this little slice of life photo. |

Nicely framed. I find myself wishing this were in black and white. Not that the greens aren't pleasing. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I really like this image, I particularly enjoy the transected dog! The POV is stand out and the boy's gaze to the dog is captivating. The green coloration is excellent - I like the way the boy's top matches. Given the water below, I wonder where you are - on a jetty? On a boat?
Critical stuff: On a wide gamut monitor with most browsers, this image is too pink - it caused me to crank up a modified (colour handling) version of Firefox and the coloration there is much better. Browser colour handling can be an issue - I thought you should know.
Overall: This is a really high quality image. |
