Watching 50+ balloons all taking off within minutes of eachother is one of the most amazing things I've seen in my life. The epitome of serenity.

Critique Club Comment:

A very nice photo to look at, I always like balloons.
I like the POV you̢۪ve chosen to take this picture, it looks like you are high up yourself, maybe even in a balloon.
Personally, I scored you a bit higher then you finished, and I was thinking that this would be at least a top 50 score, well you know how it is by now, you can̢۪t predict the voters.

Now for some critique:

Lighting: Because of the very bright sky the balloons are almost silhouettes, if you had been with your back to the sun the real subject of your photo, the balloons, would be better lighted. As you know, many voters don̢۪t ajust their monitors and they will only see black balloons, I personally think that you lost some points because of that.

Composition: Now as I̢۪m staring at this picture longer, I notice that there is not 1 real object to look at, it̢۪s a bit busy. Like Ismart already said, if you had 1 big balloon on the foreground, and the smaller ones on the background, this would give some rest. It would also put some more depth in the photo.

About the odd-shaped (pac-man) balloon, hey, it̢۪s a balloon and it has all the right to be there, that̢۪s just the way it is.

Then just one more point where I think you might have lost points, travel guide, I think some people won̢۪t believe that this would be in a travel guide. I can tell you (I mean the voters) this kind of photo̢۪s IS in travel guides.

Well, all in all I still like this photo and I hope you still like it too.

A fascinating shot because of the vastness. Since you are silhoutte mode, I would have checked the um application. Despite it, the comp has a lot of strength..

It made me laugh! The balloon on the right reminded me of pac-man! Don't ask me why :)

Crazy. It's neat to see so many balloons in the same area but the bright colours we're used to seeing on these balloons are conspicuously absent from the photograph.

Impact would be much better if the angle was with sun to your back to bring out the balloon colors.

Beautiful! I like the Ballons composition. More color contrast or having a big balloon on the foreground would cause more visual impact. Anyway Great picture.

cool image, shame about the odd shaped one and the 2 in the centre that appear joined which spoil the pic slightly, good luck

Wonderfull moody photo. I find the odd shaped balloon distracting though, but realize that was not in your control when you made the photo.
It looks like you have some dust on your camerasensor, that could have been removed with the cloning tool of your photo-editor (asuming you have one).
