Greetings from the Critique Club
It must be a little disappointing to you not to score better since this was your challenge suggestion and you posted some wonderful examples of your own work.
For me, good street photography needs to have the human element and although you can see the guy in the background, he's incidental and not the subject. The menu, whilst probably quite funny isn't compelling or interesting enough for most people. It may also be one of those cases where less is more when processing. The toning doesn't really work here. I can't help thinking it may have worked better in colour.
I agree with Melethia's comment below, a little bit less of the left side and a bit more of the right side would probably help balance this.
I do understand why you snapped this, I have a similar one from a visit to China, but it is not something I would ever consider for a street photography challenge.

Bizarre collections of shapes and writing. I like it. Not sure whether I like the pink/cream tonality. |

An interesting composition - feels a bit uneasy (I want more on the right side) but provides fun things to investigate just the same. |
