This is a homeless man who is in front of my office every day. He's very personable and doesn't bother anybody - he only says something if you approach him to talk, and he stays tucked away between some concrete planters.
His goal of fighting hobophobia is to show that not all homeless people harass you for money and that most are just good natured people who want to live their own life and not be shunned by society as a whole.
For those wondering, i did give him money and got his permission before doing photographs, he was happy to pose for a few and let me take some from a distance. He had a flock of pigeons around him and at one point said "hold on, watch this", put out his hand, one of them jumped onto his finger and walked up to his shoulder where it perched itself for some shots.
So i hope you have come back to read this, and take something away from his message.

Yes, the processing is a bit strong but that didn't bother me much. It's a great shot. Congrats on the personal best.

Thanks Josh. I was really hoping i'd break 6.0 with this, close though...still happy with a new PB!
i know some were a bit put out by the processing, my wife said to her it looked almost like a sketch, but i think that it was the best of my edits, and i'm happy with everything about this :)

This was my highest rated photo in this challenge. I realize some may not have liked the processing ..but its more about the shot here..cool shot..good message...

I really like this and love this guy's sense of humor. But something about the processing doesn't work for me, and I'm not sure what it is. I'm guessing it might come from the shot having been too dark or too noisy and that's what's popping out? Good find tho and the fact that he is looking at you makes this more engaging.
