Poor old house, close to the CBD, is the latest victim in a particular block to succumb to mindless vandalism and arson. There have been 5 others, and now just one, next door to this one, remains intact. (The rest of the block is occupied by a paint business and car park.)

Penny is right. CBD = central business district. Downtown would work just as well.

What a sad story. Definitely visible in this photo. It's lovely, despite (or in?) its sadness. The crop is also wonderful.

I guess these buildings are everywhere around the world. I'm not happy with it either, but you can make very nice photos of it. Subtle reflections here in the broken glass, I like it. (Thanks for translating the meaning of CBD)

I'm enjoying this mixture of broken glass, graffiti, blinds at the top etc. and the three supports at the bottom, although the background story is saddening. There is something about windows (and doors too for that matter) that often makes them appealing to photograph.

ETA: You might want to translate CBD for us foreigners. I think it's equivalent to what we might call "downtown" and stands for "Central Business District". Is that correct?
