Thanx for da comments
Found this in a very small park. People there must've thought I was crazy walking around taking photos of dead flowers. As I was walking out, this red flower caught my eye (got no idea what the name is)
No it wasn't Photoshopped - the red flowers go purple when they die. The only thing I did was move one of the dead flowers (the purple & yellow one underneath the red) away slightly 'cos it was blocking the living one. |

I like how the transition was captured where it naturally occurred, unlike some similar entries that were more contrived... and love the colors. |

nice idea but I'm not keen on the picture. Depth of field could have been used more effectively. The picture could have been framed better. |

a little more to the right, maybe. |

Maybe its my imagination but the red flower looks photoshopped. Anyway, I'll vote on it as if it weren't as I'm probably wrong! I really like the idea, others have done the growing transition but this is the dying transistion. |

A natural setting with good contrast between full bloom and transition to seed. |

nice colours but too many dead flowers take over the scene. |

I like this, but wish you'd used the name of the flower in your title (I've always been bad at botany). |

Interesting shot, though I think there may be a few too many dead flowers vs. tehone living flower. Nice framing though. |

Good idea, the flower in the middle isn't quite the same colour though? |

I like the focusing and the impression to show transition. I think the cropping/compostion could have been done better though. |

Shows transition well, but dead flowers are so un-interesting and almost ugly (in general to me, not these specifically...) |

Good use of DOF to keep the subject interesting. |

Were flowers harmed in the production of this photograph? |

Wow, good find. One nice flower in a mix of dying ones. Unless you staged it? :) |

did you put the fresh one in there, or was it like this ? cool shot - I feel it could have been better vertically framed though. Some of the leaves in the upper right are a distraction |

Doesn't anyone deadhead anymore? :) Joking aside - I like the subject and the coloring of the spent blooms. But overall, something about this picture isn't working for me. I know - not exactly a helpful comment. |
