the other one is a nice idea too but a less good shot, pay good attention to your backgrounds; not too distracting and make a 'clean' crop. Also the reflection IN the spoon is what people look at, make it work with the rest of the photo

Thanks for the comments all. Just as an aside, the one I was torn between is here.
I decided to try to appeal to the ladies... but I personally prefered the other one. Any thoughts? |

| I think that a different DOF might have worked better. Maybe approaching with a smaller angle in order to have sharp focus on the marriage word and the rest quite out of focus. |

| This is incredibly clever! I might have tried for softer light or a yellowish tone to give a little ambiance to the book as it looks a little institutionalized (no pun intended). I rated this VERY high anyway. Although there are a other entires that are 'technically' stronger, the imagination is what sold this image for me. I don't know if you'll get a ribbon for it, but I believe you deserve it!! |
