I even wrote h2 in the water drops.

Oliver is a master at studio lighting and I was trying to get something close without a softbox.

[Nov. 9th, 2012 06:01:23 PM]

I originall was planning on flipping the image horizontally to match Oliver's and use the border he did, but realized that when he did the h2 was reversed, and the drops just looked like over enthusiastic dribbling. In retrospect, the drops don't read well enough to make saving them worth the lack of similarity of the the original 2 shots.

Congrats on the HM. 10 from me. I wonder if the flip cost any points?

Congrats on your HM, Brennan, good job. Too bad the chars in the water drops are not readable - nice idea, though!

H2 is a tough act to follow, but you did a very nice job. Spot on lighting and detail.

Thanks for choosing my image, I'm flattered :)

Very well done in terms of lighting and overall mood, could just be a tad brighter.
Missing border might be a matter of taste, but I wonder why you flipped the subject?
Also looks like you used a bit much denoising.
