I was thinking that was the case....in which case I apologize for sounding so picky.......I don't like to make assumptions about people's photographs because I HATE it when people do that to me! I'm still drawn to this structure.....would LOVE to see it in the hands of the maker! With a HUGE smile on his face!
BTW I gave you a high score! :-)

I love the shapes and lines as well as the stark white on black. Pretty much hate the masking tape, though . . . Voted earlier. |

I love this and what I am going to say next probably sounds terribly pernickety, but for such a "clean" image, your construction should have been more meticulous. those bits of tape really spoil it for me |

I like the impact of the white on black and the general abstract design. If only that could have been achieved without the tape, or at least with more discreet connections. |

I like the geometry and background, but frankly the tape is a real eye-stopper. Excellent concept. |

Neat, looks like an optical illusion that would be fun to twirl around and see how it changes. |

I have to stop here....in my voting. Clearly this is "THE" triangle shot of the challenge. Couple observations/criticisms cuz it's just calling to me. IMHO Because there is no obvious table line or suspension line, the fact that it looks like it's floating in black makes me like it.......the masking tape makes me want to beg you to edit it more and make it as white as the straws and/or dodge/burn it so you can't see it or at least get rid of the jagged edges......cuz you can do that in this level challenge, right? I might also re-shoot it paying more attention to the negative spaces around the structure.... which if made more triangular could really make this the strongest shot. I took the time here to comment in length cuz I really like this.....and you made an effort, and it's really inspiring. I can picture the hands working on the straw structure.....WITH LOTS OF STICKY TAPE!!!! |

Great idea, but the tape pulls my attention away from the rest of the photo. If you maybe could have used a solvent to melt the straws or something that would have been really cool. |
