I was originally going to work with an idea where I would shave with a toothbrush. But after some test shots, I didn't like how that was going. So I switched gears a bit, and thought about how fun it would be to brush my teeth with a candy cane.

I pretty simple setup of a candy cane over the sink, and squeezing out a bit of toothpaste was born. The lighting for this included the bathroom lights which were the key light, and a flash that was set on top of the toilet and bounced off the wall behind the camera.

Mmm... that actually looks good. Haha.
But... it wouldn't be too effective in fighting cavities

Voted earlier coming back to comment.

I've heard about peppermint flavor toothpaste but this takes it to extreme:-) Definitely not the proper way to brush one's teeth but this is definitely a way to satisfy your sweet tooth and brush at the same time:-) Some of the highlights are blown such that I can barely see the outline of the candy cane in the white areas and the toothpaste tube. Perhaps having the light shine from behind as well as the front so that it would 'halo' around and outline the main elements better. That or see about closing down the aperture during exposure to let in a little less light to prevent blowing the whites/highlights.

I think kids would brush their teeth more often if this were the case...nice idea.

Mmm ... extra minty! I like how the white on white still delivers a clear picture.
