There is just something captivating about this composition. The feathers arranged like cast off angel wings is what truly makes this picture interesting. It makes me wonder why and how the angel cast off the wings. Was it done willingly or forcefully? The morning dew on the feathers is a nice touch for it adds another textural detail and conjures imagery of the morning (heh, perhaps it is tears for the lost angel and signifies mourning). The only critique I have is that I wish it was in more focus and detail on the left feather and the back of the right feather as that details are a bit soft. Perhaps greater DOF and some burning to get shadows and details back would help. |
