This is a cool composite! I know it's your work and I like it as is, but I am going to add my opinion on what I would have done and you can toss it aside if you wish. I would have attempted to somehow bring the palm of the hand to show under the shadow somehow by adjusting opacity of that area of the shadow to let the palm show through, in shadow of course.

The leaf in the head actually looks like a tiny little face trying to come through the shadow. Can you see it? Eyes, nose, mouth??
