 This was the only image I took during this two week period and that was from the balcony of my apartment (I told you I don't go far when it's cold!)

This is in contrast to the beautiful clear blue skies of January. Here you cannot even see the edge of the lake which is about 50 metres from my apartment. Foggy and cold with some snow.

Love it! That looks like a figure down through the tree... makes this a totally different image. Vignette works for me.

Winter can be dark and depressing. This image has a dark mood, which is not a criticism. I like the starkness.
