 December look back - Day 10

This is a hard one for me.

My Mom, the one on the left, never really liked many pictures I took of her (though she loved my pictures in general) but she liked this one. She asked if I'd have it printed on canvas - one for her and one for her sister Ranae. I did. This was the first time the sisters had been together is quite some time, and they really enjoyed the visit.

My Mom died quite unexpectedly this October. I miss her terribly.

This is a beautiful double portrait, Deb, a lovely tribute to your mother which must be quite a treasure to you now, especially as she was pleased with it herself. I know how much you are missing her - as I miss my own.

I well remember your beautiful tribute to her and your plea to all of us to appreciate our own mothers - to appreciate everyone we love and not to take anyone for granted. So wonderful that you were able to get a picture of her that she liked that well. Hugs.
