Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Heavy...
This is a nice journalistic photo. It has a nice 'story' to it and it captures an interesting moment in time. I personally believe the desaturation of the reds in this photo 'cheapens' it a bit. It makes this photo appear to be a 'gimmick' shot rather than something that tells a story. My first impression of it is 'why?' above anything else. I don't understand your reason for desaturating the reds. In your mind, how did that 'improve' this photo? Decisions to make changes like this should be accompanied by a strong reason for doing so :)

I like the idea of this shot, but I don't like the colors |

Just because you can selectively desaturate doesn't mean you always should. =] I think I would have liked this picture much better in "full color". |

Unique team sport! I felt that the photo was too busy with non-similar subjects to catch my eye. |

looks like fun, bright colored clothing seeems overly contrasted with drab background |

It's clever, but colours do not work for me |

A great capture of the moment, but not sure the colorization/desaturation worked here. |

Garish colours and way too busy in general for my liking. Would have preferred to see just a couple of kids cropped from the pic. |

It's interesting that you've had to have this photo validated, but can see why. Looking forward to reading the 'how it was done' when voting is over. The colour contrasts are great and really enhance this photo filled with activity! |

I really like this photo. I was going to vote it down because of certain areas desaturated, others aren't. Or so it appears to me. See it had been validated, so that means I am confused. Will up your score. How did you do it? |

There are teams but the action seems a bit boring. Colors also seem to distract IMO. |

i wouldn't really take push cart race as a team sport...but pts given for the effort of doing selective desaturation |

You really should NOT have messed with the selective desaturation. The picture would have been at least a <7> had you not messed with it. Now IMHO it just looks tacky and out of place. Never mess with it when you already have a good thing. |

This is a nice shot for this challenge, but I think it would be better either fully desaturated or all in color. Regardless, it's a good action photo. |

I don't like the partial desaturation in this photo. I think ity takes away from your photo |
