 This is outside the entrance of the fore-mentioned Penny Lane bakery in Utsunomiya, where they have lots of Beatles' memorabilia.
One apple pastry they make is star-shaped and called Ringo Starr - ringo being 'apple' in Japanese.

That symbol was originally for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, being the semaphore letters D and N combined.
