Macro of a motorcycle exhaust in action.
Tech - crop, a bit of hue & sat and some smudging to enhance the smoke as it can out a bit clean....that makes a change for my motorcycle.

Nice colors, the pink, green and silver blend well together.

Interesting idea. I'm sorry if this seems negative, but here goes ... If the metalic parts were in better focus, I think it would improve the image. I am guessing the dark band on the left is the smoke and hence the subject of the image. If this were better defined and possibly better focused, I also think it would improve the image. As is, the gold metalic part seems to overpower the photo. Perhaps a little less of that and a little more of the smoke?

Ok, after multiple viewings the last few days, I'm starting to get it. Exhaust pipe and smoke coming out, right? My apologies - I don't mean for that to sound sarcastic. I just had problems "seeing" what you saw. I do like the portrayal of the pipe; I don't really like the smoke - it seems to lack character. If it were my image, I'd probably try to do a black background on the left (which would still contrast nicely with the pipe), highlight the smoke, and try quite a few shots until something with more attractive "wisps" came out. That would also require me to push the pipe to the right in order to emphasize the smoke ... but, as I've said to others, "Hey, that's just me." Good luck in the challenge.

Where is the smoke?

it's an interesting composition, and i like what you've done with the colours and lighting (don't know what the technical term / filter is, but it looks good!)

Thing is, the smokiness isn't really that apprarent, or indeed noticeable (i can't tell is the area left of the chrome is bodywork or not...). it's too abstract and visually difficult to decipher. it's certainly original, but i'm not sure that it fits the challenge. 5.
