wish the pole wasn't dead center of thee person

good idea - might have been better from a slightly different angle. as shot, the pole slices the frame in two and itself distrcats from the rest of the carosel. Peerhaps a shot with one of the horse heads as the main subject with a mirrow behind it would have provided stronger compositional elements.

boring

Composition is weak, lighting is 2D and the focus isn't sharp enough. That's the major technical flaws. Photos are supposed to tell stories. This one is mixed and confusing, particularly with the name of the photo. Is the man in the center an accident or on purpose? I don't know. Either way, I have no idea what this is supposed to tell me.

the child with the pole cutting him in half is distracting

Nice shot, but would prefer it without the guy there, or with the pole not running through him.

that appears to be a beautiful merry-go-round...i'm just wondering why you shot it with that post in the middle of the photo and created something that looks like two images cause of it. In my opinion you would have a stronger photo with a horse in the center and if the support posts were still an issue allow them to frame the horse rather than cut the photo in half.

Carousels, my favorite. They may have been better shot at night to give it a real carnival feel.
