Terrific catch and capture - love the sand background! You don't even need a hand to count the ones I've seen in the wild - not sure I've even seen one in a zoo, but I'll pay more attention next time if I do. |

Googled it--egg-laying mammal? cousin of the platypus? And best of all, a baby Echidna is called a puggle! Waugh! Kind of cute, though. Remarkable that you saw 2 in the wild. "D That rained-on sand is pretty wierd-looking also.

Amazing creature, well photographed. i've only seen them in zoos, which isn't the same. Very prehistoric looking. |
