Challenge: Team Sport Action (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Collegeville MN.
Date: Sep 11, 2004
Aperture: f8.0
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/1600
Galleries: Sports
Date Uploaded: Sep 12, 2004

Took this at my universities home game this weekend. First time using a Digital SLR, had mixed results. Unfortunately, the only good action shot happened to be of the other teams running back. Oh well, we still won 48-0. Go Johnnies.

Sharp and clear--well done. I felt that there was not enough contrast between foreground and background.

Good job of getting in close! Overall I like this shot a lot, but I have a couple suggestions. I might have cropped JUST the runner, eliminating much of the rest of the image. It's not always easy to accomplish, but this would have been better with a shallower depth of field -- as it is, the spectators are in good enough focus that they really compete for attention with the subject.

A little too busy ... perhaps a tighter crop?

this feels too messy, you really need to lose the background by using a shllow dof and a large apperture

You should've lower the f/ to create a lower depth of field which would cause background to blur...
