I read this quote decades ago trying to envisage myself going to bed with stilettos and nothing much else ... And despite having a "shoe adiction" it was always quite a ludicrous idea. Nevertheless, it "stuck" :-).
When brainstorming this challenge, my first thought was one of those pretty "balerina shoe" images, you know the one with the pointy toe. I was already trying to find someone who would pose for me, when I realised it was MY left foot ... no way was I going to get into any ballerina shoes. So then I thought I would find some really nice high heels and do a similar take as the ballerina shoe, but somehow I couldn't think of an interesting angle for the whole thing. So more brainstorming to find a "point of interest", when I suddenly remembered the quote.
It was a challenge to photograph, because I only have 1 remote trigger and needed that for the off camera flash, which meant I had to release the shutter on the timer. I had to push the button and rush back onto my spot, underwear around my knees, trying to get into the correct position. In between I had cats and dogs deciding that the fury throw was really nice and cuddly to lie on ... it was quite hilarious actually and almost a miracle that I didn't end up with a "left foot in plaster" shot for the challenge.
I originally had this, much darker semi desat version:
