Composition - I didn't rate this pic very high the first time mostly due to the composition. I don't find anything related to the challenge outside of the title. You're right, you didn't crop the pic too tight and by not cropping it you leave much mess in the background. I do not believe in the washed out snow theory. Snow is white, and by God, it looks white in the picture. Imagine that? This is a very simple snapshot in my opinion. There isn't anything about it to show me anything besides that. Sorry!
Photography - Seems about the right exposure. Snow is not the easiest thing to serve as a backdrop in pictures though. When you leave too much of it though, it dominates the picture. This is not poorly taken, just not very well set-up.
Processing - Not really applicable
Overall - I don't really like the picture. I don't find much artistic merit to it. I don't feel it really meets the challenge. Stand the man out there in a speedo and you have a stranger in a strange land. Sorry I can't be more helpful but there really isn't a lot to build on. Best advice I have is keep shooting and good luck in future challenges. This pic would look great in your family album though. - Inspzil |

Even funnier if you'd been able to borrow a pair of chihuahuas... |

That looks cold! If you had put that guy in a bathing suit he truly be a stranger in a strange land. |

this looks like a nice family album photo :) Nothing looks out of the ordinary or 'strange' IMO. Maybe if the guy was in shorts it would fit the challenge a little better :) - setzler |

Nice photo, but I am lost as to the challenge aspect. It's cold outside and he is fully dressed for it. The dogs look pretty natural too. ?????? 6 Swash |

Fantastic. Did you realize this almost looks sepia. The dogs give it away that it's really color. Come on down to Georgia. It's beautiful here. This will be among my favorites. Good photo. Like the scenery around you. Glad you didn't crop it down to just you and the dogs. Great one. PTL |

Too bright - most of the snow is almost completely white - it would be nice to see some texture in the snow. By contrast, the man's clothes are too dark and again, no texture is visible. I would have composed the photo differently - putting the man and the dogs off centre to the left or right to give more interest. |
