I couldn't find a real spoting event I could photograph well, so I came up with this. The blur is made be shaking a strip of white paper suspended by a thin piece of clear tape. It isn't as dynamic as what I had in mind when I planned the shot, but I think I'll do ok.

After reading what you did to create this shot, I think you deserved a better score. However, many voters here take the challenge litterally, so you were probably voted lower because it wasn't real people on a real team. However I think your resourcefulness and creativity were great! I would never have thought of trying something like this.

Now that I read your comment, I think that I can see the clear tape.

Regarding your photo, it seems a little noisy on the green background.
As I also have a c750 I know that it is quite noisy with "long" exposures. I think that you could have improved the quality of the picture by enabling the noise reduction of the camera. It works for me for shoots >= 1s.

I thought about that, but since most people kick better with their right foot, kicking across the body to the left side of the goal seems more natural
but I don't know, maby it would have worked better the other way.

This makes me wonder how many tries you had with the shot. It's a very cool idea and I love the effect. Original work. Very well done. Best of luck.

This must have taken ages to set up? I'm fascinated and hopefully you'll write a bit about how this was done. It looks like you've had to have the photo validated, though I would never have thought it was created outside of the rules, so someone with greater knowledge of photography than myself must have requested it? The image fits the challenge and is very humorous. Well done.

I love the placement of the "athletes" in this shot. Everything about this picture draws the viewer into the action. Usually for an action-shot challenge, I'd prefer a shot with live people. However, this one is done well, it does indeed show action, and it looks like it was very hard to pull off! I'm anxious to see your comments on this photo after the challenge is over, because I'm interested in what techniques you used for this shot.

Boy, oh boy. How to rate this? Well, soccor is a team sport, and you did capture action (I can't wait to see how many tries it took to get this), and you obviously put a lot of effort into this. Composition and lighting all look professional, and I do like how the focus seems to be on the goalie. The "player" taking the shot looks like he is about to fall over though. I gave this an above average score, but it just wasn't one of my favorites this round. I guess it is just lacking in emotion, but I could see the Lego company using this for an ad.

I'd like to know how you did this one, very creative. The man in front is out of focus though, and the white streak blocks the man in the back.
